Our story

The University of Vancouver (UVAN) is a new, private, secular, not-for-profit, liberal arts and sciences university. Our heritage builds on the proud history of two well-known British Columbia post-secondary institutions with over 110 years of combined experience.

As we prepare for our next evolution, we continue to work with the British Columbia Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills and the Degree Quality Assessment Board.
